My Bio
November 16th, 1979, I was born in a small town nestled next to the Susquehanna River in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. For the past 7 years I have been a roaming digital nomad in search of everything.
During periodic visits home to Pennsylvania I had witnessed a huge transition in the community and the landscape. Many of the farms were disappearing and the new Wal Mart was dominating the local economy and dictating the local food chain. Cookie cutter homes and retails stores were popping up at an alarming rate. This was and still is a painful realization for me. With great confusion and frustration I began to search for the answers. This fixation with agriculture, the modern day American farmer and the complex web of what we now call "food chains" would later become interwoven with my never ending thirst for wanderlust and exploration.
In December of 2008 while on a two month soul searching tour of South East Asia I had my "epiphany". I decided that I would no longer just think and talk about these dreams of mine year in and year out. I was going to find a way to make them a reality. I realized that the only way for me to truly succeed and be happy in life was to follow my dreams. It was then I decided to ride a bicycle from one end of the country to the other. Digging deep into American culture at a slow pace had been a dream of mine for a number of years. I was ready to experience and gain knowledge of the things that captivated my imagination and stimulated my curiosity. So I put a plan together and made it happen.
I am currently living in ruralVermont with my beautiful dog Chaya.
I often post snippets of thoughts here.
